This initiative responds to studies conducted on the cultural preferences of young people that highlight the importance of music. This decision also concerns local associations that wish to have a medium-sized venue for contemporary music concerts.

The 2007 edition began on March 17 with โ€œHeadbangers Area,โ€ which featured In Other Climes, Square Syndrome, Assacrentis, Xtrunk, and Sorrow.

The second concert of “06 en Live” at the Nikaรฏa Palace will take place on Thursday, March 29 at 7:00 PM (*): the General Council presents the evening “Les enfants du rock” with:

Eiffel: After a three-year hiatus, necessary for reflection and planning for the future, the band led by Romain Humeau came together around their latest album Tandoori, which was recorded in Belgium.

Far from conventional rock, the band transcends its influences in free electric forms. Just listen to “Looney Tune for the Moon,” the opening track sung in English, straight from the imaginations of a Lennon or a McCartney, to realize it. Tandoori is a dark album with a rough sound, featuring very prominent sharp guitars and incredibly catchy tracks. Longtime fans will not be disappointed: the band’s cherished Anglo-Saxon influences are never far away.

Solid State: A melodic hard rock band, 100% from the French Riviera, ready for a special “high voltage” performance. Initially, a meeting of five musicians (bass, drums, guitar, vocals, and keyboard) driven by the same passion, whose only desire is to make music for pleasure, free of any harmonic and rhythmic constraints. Their hard rock influences are directly from the United States with bands like Extreme, Bon Jovi, and Offspring, as evident from their first album “Deep Side of the Tube,” which presents eleven tracks in the pure tradition of US rock: heavy sound, big guitars, and big production, all in a very fun spirit. The result is explosive!

Maupity: This band from Nice, created in 2001 and consisting of four members, offers music with very varied influences, blending Anglo-Saxon influences with lyrics sung in French. Maupity’s Francophile pop-rock attempts to contribute to the renewal of the French musical landscape. Worth listening to attentively!
