According to a study conducted by the Ifrap Foundation, with an 8% reduction in its expenses, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur is the region in France that made the most financial efforts in 2016.
Renaud Muselier, President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region and Member of the European Parliament, expressed his satisfaction:
“As soon as we took over the presidency of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, we made considerable efforts to achieve savings, and the result is here, with an 8% reduction in our expenses in just one year.
Operating expenses decreased by nearly 46 million euros last year.
These efforts are continuing in 2017, with a new direction I have set since becoming President of the Region, summed up in three words: authority, listening, and proximity. My roadmap is clear: results over 3 years and a vision over 20 years. I no longer want a region considered as the cash drawer for other communities. I want a region that is rigorous in its operations, committed to concrete projects, and attentive to both the territories and their inhabitants,” stated the President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region.
