We last saw the players of OGC Nice handball in a frustrating match last week. A defeat against Dijon, a direct competitor for Europe. A setback that impacted the rankings as the two teams swapped positions.
It was with a strong sense of revenge that the OGC Nice handball players arrived in the Parisian suburbs. Very quickly, Nice took the lead. In the first minute, Marie-Hélène Sajka gave her teammates a two-goal advantage. The team imposed a high pace. Gordana Mitrovic and Dienaba Sy contributed to the effort. After ten minutes, Nice was already leading (5-2).
The Nice players continued scoring goals. Wendy Semedo Monteiro and Adriana Holejova found openings in turn. But the one who made the difference that night was Marie-Hélène Sajka. Having stepped back last week, the defender was unstoppable. She scored multiple times (eight in the match) and confirmed she will be a significant player in the second half of the season. A well-managed second half
After returning from the locker room, the opponents tried to respond. Pauline-Marie Plotton scored three times in a row. But Nice remained in control. In the absence of captain Marine Dupuis, Dienaba Sy (six goals) brilliantly took the lead. The home team put up a fight, but Nice maintained their lead.
