The first and only gay carnival in France is back for its second edition on February 19, 2016. More than 500 artists and volunteers are mobilized to make this event a success.
Local batucadas, dance schools, troupes from the other side of the world, extravagant drag queen creatures, folk dance troupes, LGBT associations (lesbian, gay, bi, and trans), a 25-musician orchestra, all will perform live on February 19, at Place Massena.
The grand parade, open to everyone, young and old, is free of charge and will offer a two-hour show just a few meters from the legendary Promenade des Anglais.
On February 27, 2015, the first edition gathered nearly 15,000 people.
Throughout the weekend, 59 events and festive evenings are offered all around the city on this occasion, by gay and gay-friendly establishments, partners of Lou Queernaval.
