Low Budget is a family rock band, consisting of the Mariottini brothers: Claude on vocals, rhythm guitar, and composition. Jean-Pierre on drums, along with his son Pierre on lead guitar, and finally his brother-in-law Paul Rocchietta on bass.
The band was formed in the early 1980s. At the time, Low Budget was just a minimalistic rock band comprising only the Mariottini brothers. Influenced by the “Pop-Rock” music of the 60s and 70s with bands like The Kinks or The Rolling Stones; the group now leans more towards the classic Rock scene like Téléphone or Police but also more modern with Nirvana or Oasis.
Low Budget is a band with a sober, refined, and effective style. They perform some classic rock pieces, without forgetting their own compositions. Their music is an expert blend of folk ballads and fierce riffs, with a solid rhythmic base and a striking lead guitar. They harmoniously flirt between traditional blues and more saturated contemporary sounds.
