Magali Picherie named Sommelier of the Year

Magali Picherie, who works at the Mirazur in Menton, has just been named Sommelier of the Year by the famous Gault & Millau 2022 guide.

While working alongside Mauro Colagreco at the “Mirazur” in Menton, Magali Picherie from the three-starred gourmet restaurant has just been elected Sommelier of the Year.

According to the guide, Magali Picherie has “a refreshing vision that reconciles enthusiasts of both great bottles and modern and natural vintages.” For the renowned Gault & Millau guide, the sommelier deserved the top spot for its 2022 edition.

This isn’t the first time the Côte d’Azur has been successful for sommeliers. In fact, in January 2021, the Michelin guide named Vanessa Massé Sommelier of the Year while she was practicing at her own establishment, “Pur & V” in Nice.
