The city of Tourrette-Levens will host an exhibition on magic this summer, “Magicians, Masters of Mystery.” It will take place from June 15 to September 14.
Dr. Alain Frère, Mayor of Tourrette-Levens, presented this exhibition yesterday in the city’s Marriage Hall, which is particularly dear to him. Following last year’s clown exhibition, the world of magicians will be honored, featuring an exhibition from Alain Frère’s private museum. The Mayor emphasized the sentimental aspect of this presentation. This theme was chosen to pay tribute to magicians, particularly Bernard Andrei, Philippe Fiahlo, and Yanco, friends of Alain Frère.
Alongside the Mayor of Tourrette-Levens, this conference brought together magicians who will be present for the exhibition: Triton and Laura, and poetic magicians, Stephen Lucy as well as the director of the town’s circus school and his wife with their two birds. Alain Frère took the opportunity to introduce some young talents from the city and explain that it represents a “renaissance of magic.”
During the exhibition, visitors will be able to explore the mayor’s museum, showcasing numerous colorful costumes, along with a collection of various posters. Each Sunday, the exhibition will be punctuated by magic shows in the late afternoon. Alain Frère also explained that this exhibition was free, which was a political decision, to attract and inspire visitors.
Before inviting the whole assembly to a demonstration by Triton and Stephen Lucy, Dr. Alain Frère concluded his speech by defining magic with three essential words for him: “Creation, Imagination, Elegance.”
