MANCA 2015: There will be something for everyone…

Latest News

Since 1978, each autumn, the CIRM brings together artists and audiences by organizing the MANCA festival, a festival of all the music of today that appeals to all generations.

By investing in different cultural venues, MANCA 2015 offers a wide variety of events: opera, symphonic concerts, chamber music, dance, and conferences to cater to the varied tastes of the audience.

Innovative live performances, the MANCA are always true artistic adventures that creators take the risk to implement in order to offer, each evening, the culmination of the creative passion that drives them.

For Muriel Marland, president of the CIRM: “In todayโ€™s cultural world, art and science complement and enrich each other and will be at the heart of all future creations.”

The MANCA will open tonight at the Nice Opera with a performance by the Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Mark Foster.

They will continue throughout next week, concluding musically on Saturday, the 22nd, with an exceptional concert by the Paris Mozart Orchestra conducted by Claire Gibaut with soprano Natalie Dessay.

An additional study day will be held on Monday, the 24th, at the Nucรฉra Library auditorium around the theme “the musical gesture in its interaction with contemporary creation.”
