A member of the Boxing Squad, the Nice native ranks among the best MMA fighters in the world. Currently third in the UFC flyweight division, Manon Fiorot is not far from reaching the ultimate prize.
It’s been quite a journey since then. Before reaching the high echelons of MMA, Manon Fiorot wandered. She was immersed in karate from the age of seven and earned a black belt just after turning eighteen, following some time off. The fighter continued on her path, expanding her martial arsenal by trying other disciplines such as muay-thai (Thai boxing) and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. The Azurรฉenne collected national titles on the amateur circuit, but it wasn’t enough. She headed to the Boxing Squad led by Aldric Cassata…
In Pole Position
Not one to take detours, Manon Fiorot signed with Cage Warriors for her professional debut. She unfortunately lost her first fight in June 2018, her only defeat to date. The following year, the fighter traveled to Johannesburg (South Africa) and joined the continent’s leading league, the Extreme Fighting Championship. As the organization’s champion, she moved on to UAE Warriors in the United Arab Emirates. It was then that Manon Fiorot got noticed: the UFC came knocking at her door.
She’s not called “The Beast” for nothing. The headline of the Boxing Squad dominates her opponents. In her first UFC fight in January 2021, Manon Fiorot made her mark by delivering a TKO to Victoria Leonardo. She became the first French woman to win a fight in the major American league. Four consecutive victories later, “The Beast” climbed to the top of the flyweight category.
“If I have a great fight Saturday night, Iโm 100% sure I’ll fight for the title right after.”
