On the occasion of the celebration of the 77th anniversary of the Liberation of Nice, traffic and parking restrictions are put in place.
Traffic:
From 6 PM, the Quai des États-Unis will be closed between Avenue Max Gallo and Place du 8 Mai 1945, as well as Quai Rauba Capeù between Place du 8 Mai and Place Guynemer (except for users exiting the Saleya parking and Rue des Ponchettes who are permitted to travel in the opposite direction, towards the Port, except between 9 PM and 11 PM).
The streets Milton Robbins, Bréa, and Vanloo will also be closed. The streets Desboutin and Alexandre Mari will be closed to traffic, including for residents, but only from 9:30 PM to 11 PM.
From 7 PM to 1 AM the next day, the following roads will be closed to traffic: Avenue Max Gallo promenade des Anglais (northbound lane, between Boulevard Gambetta and Avenue Max Gallo, and southbound lane, between Rue Sauvan and Avenue Max Gallo) Rue de Rivoli (between Rue de France and Promenade des Anglais), Rue Massenet, Avenue de Verdun (between Place Masséna and Promenade des Anglais), Avenue Félix Faure (from Rue Alberti to Place Masséna), Rue Chauvain (between Rue Gioffredo and Rue Félix Faure), Rue Saint-François de Paule (between Rue Desboutin and Avenue Max Gallo), Rue Alexandre Mari (between Rue de l’Hôtel de Ville and Rue Desboutin, except residents), Rue Desboutin, except residents, Tunnel Liautaud (from Avenue Max Gallo to the Garibaldi exit inclusive).
In return, several streets will operate in the opposite direction and in both directions:
- In the opposite direction: Rue du Congrès (from Rue de la Buffa to Rue de France), and Avenue Felix Faure (between Rue Chauvain and Rue Alberti) will operate in the opposite direction from 7 PM. Rue Desboutin remains accessible only to residents in the opposite direction.
Similarly, Rue Bosio will operate in the opposite direction from 7 PM (between Rue Saint-François de Paule and Quai des États-Unis).
- In both directions: Rue du Congrès (between Rue de France and the entrance to Méditerranée parking) and Rue de Rivoli (between Promenade des Anglais and Rue Beretta) will operate in both directions from 7 PM.
Parking:
Parking will be prohibited for all vehicles, including in “GIG/GIC” and 2-wheeled spots on Quai des États-Unis from 7 AM to 1 AM the next day. Also on Quai Rauba Capeù from 7 AM to 1 PM, then from 4 PM to 1 AM the next day.
This will also be the case on Rue Foresta on both sides for 60 meters from Place Guynemer.
Parking will be prohibited from noon to 1 AM the next day on the following roads:
– Promenade des Anglais (from Avenue Max Gallo to Boulevard Gambetta)
– Cours Jacques Chirac
– Rue des Ponchettes
– Rue Saint-François de Paule (in its entirety)
– Rue Bréa
– Avenue Max Gallo
– Avenue Félix Faure (from Rue Chauvain to Place Masséna)
– Avenue de Verdun (in its entirety)
– Avenue Gustave V (between Promenade des Anglais and the 2-wheel parking)
For the bike paths:
From 9 AM to noon and then from 6 PM to 1 AM the next day, traffic will be prohibited on the bike path from Guynemer to Place du 8 Mai 45.
