Like every March 8, the Women’s Rights Collective 06 is mobilizing and will be in the streets for a militant and festive gathering: “a witches’ ball”.
This Collective denounces the inequalities faced by women who are most affected by wage and pension disparities. They are predominantly responsible for domestic and family tasks but are underrepresented in positions of political or economic responsibility. They are too often victims of multiple forms of violence and are the first victims of wars. Today, austerity policies, the rise of extreme right-wing ideologies and religious fundamentalism are causing setbacks.
They are demanding a genuine policy of wage equality, radical measures to end violence against women, more and better public services, the fight against the prostitution system, freedom, equality of rights, and parity at all levels… in short, the recognition in rights and actions of the equality always proclaimed but far from being achieved, between women and men.
