Committed to a sustainable development policy, the City of Nice continues its efforts by supporting the Marine World Discovery Center.
Starting July 5, the tram will be dressed in Mediterranean colors to highlight the underwater treasures. This dressing will be enhanced by the establishment of a booth aimed at raising public awareness about marine biodiversity.
The tramway in marine world colors
Selected as part of the 3rd Environmental Trophies 2012, the project “Arrest que ven: Mer Méditerranée” – presented by the CDMM – aims to transform the tramway into a marine animal to engage citizens about the richness of the Mediterranean. The visual designs proposed will be drawn from 20 years of photographic archives by passionate divers. This covering aims to spotlight the Mediterranean underwater. Thus, photos of marine animals and landscapes will cover the tramway with texts in French and English from July 5 to September 7, 2012.
An animated booth to inform and raise awareness
This dressing will be reinforced by the establishment of an information booth on marine biodiversity at Place Masséna, next to the Tourist Office kiosk. Activities on biodiversity and discovering the often underestimated treasures of our sea will be offered.
