The season is set to open this morning with all the shows that have made the park successful, notably featuring sea lions, dolphins, and orcas, who remain the park’s stars.
The closure has lasted exactly 5 months and 20 days. Marineland Park in Antibes, severely affected by the floods of October 3rd, will reopen to the public this Monday.
However, controversy is not far off. Last December, three associations, including the Cetacean Network, filed a complaint for animal mistreatment following the testimony of a former trainer. The accusations were entirely dismissed by the management.
Nevertheless, the park can count on the unwavering support of Jean Lรฉonetti, the MP and mayor (LR) of Antibes, and Christian Estrosi, the mayor of Nice and the new president of the Regional Council.
A preliminary investigation has been opened.
