Master Media Manager: Entrance exams on April 20th and May 14th at IPAG Nice!

Latest News

The new Master’s program offered by IPAG Nice is gaining momentum. There are still two entrance exams scheduled to join this program, on Friday, April 20th (registration closes on the 18th) and on Monday, May 14th with registration closing on May 11th.

Launched this year for a start in September 2012, the Media Manager Master’s program quickly sparked interest, now turning into enthusiasm with about ten students already at the starting line for this first year. It combines various media skills (print, radio, and TV) with the management requirements of these fields, while also including Data Journalism and communication.

The MMM is a multidisciplinary course and will be the first and only one in France to use a genuine media outlet as a working platform for its students. Indeed, starting in September 2012, Nice Premium will become a true online laboratory, allowing students to publish their work and develop numerous other projects (live coverage of major events, TV and radio shows, news broadcasts, etc.).

“We did not expect such success and are delighted. Nonetheless, we will not exceed the limit of twenty students we set because, as this is the first year of a new cycle, we want to provide a high-level education while ensuring quality teaching,” says Philippe Dorey, the Director of IPAG Nice, pleased that this new initiative by the Nice business school has hit the mark. “I believe this Master’s program is perfectly suited to the new demands of the ever-evolving media world.”

Nice Premium: Philippe Dorey, what does the entrance exam at IPAG to join the MMM consist of?

Philippe Dorey: All students are recruited through IPAG’s own exam. The entrance exam for the 4th year, which grants access to the Media Manager Master’s, is open to students who have completed at least three years of higher education.

The admission tests include a written test and three interviews: the Tage-Mage, mandatory for students who have not studied management, an individual interview, and two language tests (English, of course, mandatory and a second language of choice).

Nice Premium: Is there a date to learn more about the Media Manager Master’s program?

Philippe Dorey: There are two. A special Open Day will take place at IPAG on Wednesday, April 25th, for parallel admissions.

Then, on May 10th, a major meeting at IPAG Nice will allow future students to meet their future employers: media and communication professionals.
