On the occasion of the annual conference of the 06 Delegation of Master Restaurateurs, at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Nice, Mattéo Mansi, the president of the delegation, reflected on the various challenges and activities targeted by the association in 2017.
At the outset, “Théo Mansi,” as everyone in the industry calls him, took time to congratulate the 20 restaurateurs who obtained the title of Master Restaurateur in 2016. This title, awarded in the name of the Chef, honors a confirmed restaurant with a menu that is entirely “home-made.” It can be renewed every four years.
Today, 60 master restaurateurs are members of the AFMR (French Association of Master Restaurateurs). The goals enumerated by Théo Mansi for this year are to unite other awardees to allow them to join the association, promote and energize the image of the Côte d’Azur as a land of culinary innovation, gastronomic activity, and diversity of the local products.
Théo Mansi also presented his 2017 action plan, including an upcoming young talent competition on March 6 in Paris, and a “Eat Well” competition in Valberg in July, the previous year’s event having been a great success.
There will be the Gastronomy Festival in September and, of course, title award ceremonies throughout the year, where Théo Mansi has asked all master restaurateurs to be present to support their colleagues on their day of recognition.
