Mai à vélo concludes this Friday in Nice. Find free and open-to-all activities at Rauba Capeu, starting at 7 PM on Friday.
Throughout the month of May, members of the Nice à Vélo association have multiplied activities as part of Mai à Vélo. This event has been a true celebration of cycling in all its forms, with a series of initiatives aimed at encouraging cycling and helping beginners with their first pedal strokes.
To close this month full of events, a musical bike parade will be organized, featuring the DJ Set by DJ BAB’s, who will be moving on a trailer lent by the Choisir le Vélo association. This festive event will also be an opportunity to reaffirm support for the bike lane on the Quai des États-Unis and Lunel, which is threatened with removal. The meeting is set for 7 PM this Friday, May 31st at Rauba Capeu, next to the #ILoveNice. The parade will then head towards Le109 (former slaughterhouses), passing through the threatened area.
Nice à Vélo
Nice à Vélo participated in the Geovelo “Activity Challenge” and is currently in first place in the ranking of associations with 101 to 500 members, with 31,077 kilometers covered by 258 participants. This performance is a source of pride for the association, demonstrating that even in a region historically less favorable to cycling, a growing number of people are adopting this mode of transport for health, ecological, economic reasons, or simply for the sake of efficiency.
