This Thursday, more than 1,700 schoolchildren will gather in the gardens of the Arènes de Cimiez to celebrate the culture and traditions of Nice during the “Mai des écoles.”
In collaboration with the city of Nice and the Academic Directorate, the Central Office for School Cooperation (OCCE) organizes annual activity days for the kindergartens and elementary schools of Nice as part of the Mai Festival.
The participating classes have prepared an educational project throughout the school year centered around the traditions of the County of Nice, which they will present at Cimiez.
The children will be able to taste local specialties and participate throughout the day in traditional games like the piñata or sack races, take part in a photo rally, or join a culinary workshop.
All will receive a diploma validating their participation in the May motifs competition.
