Nice Premium had a meeting with Miss Provence, Eva Navarro, at the Martinez Hotel in Cannes. She opened up about her life and her participation in the beauty pageant, which will take place on December 11th in Caen.
Eva Navarro is very proud and grateful to represent her region. “It’s a great pride because it is said that the people of Provence are very warm. Provence is very important to me, it’s my little region of love, of heart.”
A springboard and a challenge
Miss Provence signed up for the pageant of her own accord. “It’s a change and a huge springboard in my life. I am very fulfilled. I am studying something I really enjoy. Everything is going well.”
It’s also a “huge personal challenge.” “Beyond the physical, I am a very shy person. It is not easy to speak in public, and to speak in front of millions of viewers.” Still, she is eager to experience this opportunity.
The Miss France pageant is an achievement
Taking part in this beauty pageant isn’t a childhood dream for the Provencal, but rather a milestone in her life. She is proud to represent the French with a cause to defend. “We are spokespersons, each with an important cause to defend.”
She doesn’t put pressure on herself. Being Miss Provence is already a beautiful victory. “Whatever happens, I just want to live this adventure, regardless of the position I achieve.”
Her feelings before the big departure
She is eager to leave (tomorrow) for the election preparation, and to meet the other candidates. “I can’t wait to experience this adventure 1000%, to finally be in the Miss France setting. I am very calm. We are preparing with the committee.”
She thinks the trip to Reunion Island will be a very beautiful experience. “I’m not afraid to go far abroad. I have traveled a lot alone, or with my friends. It’s not a problem. I think it will go very well. We will have intense days, photoshoots, press meetings, interviews, but I think we will all get along well. It will be great to meet them all, to discover who they are, their culture.”
School bullying
Eva Navarro has chosen to defend the cause of school bullying. She was a victim of it when she was younger, even though it may be surprising. It went as far as dropping out of school and hospitalization. “My health was also greatly affected. It’s my cause close to the heart. It is important to me because too many children and people are victims of it. We have seen this a lot lately.”
The title of Miss Provence is a beautiful revenge for her, “after all those years of suffering.”
Her ambition
Miss Provence is in her second year of a bachelor’s degree in travel, public relations. She would like to work in a humanitarian organization, and to undertake such trips. “It’s very interesting to discover people who are rather disadvantaged.”
She would like to continue her studies, even if she is elected Miss France. “I think we can absolutely combine this title with studies, just like Marine Lorphelin did. She has perfectly proven it. She’s one of the Misses I adore.”
Eva remains open to future opportunities. “I think I will take things day by day because we don’t know what tomorrow will bring.” She will ask herself the right questions when the time comes, if she receives other offers.
Her passions
Her large family, with whom she spends a lot of time, is very important to her. They have instilled values in her. “They support me enormously and will be present on December 11th in Caen. I’m fortunate to have a very proud father, a mother who helps me with everything, who accompanies me everywhere. Having your family by your side is worth all the gold in the world.” The relatives of the Provencal were very surprised that she entered the pageant but also very proud. “I was the shy little Eva, so they didn’t believe I was going to have such an adventure. I suffered from that school bullying which hurt me a lot.”
She loves riding horses. Photography is one of her hobbies. They allow her to “think about something else, to express herself.”
The atmosphere
The Misses who already know each other get along very well. “We are a small group among ourselves. We exchange from time to time. We comment on our photos on Instagram.”
She met Miss Languedoc (Marion Ratié), during a photoshoot day, and Miss Rhône-Alpes (Charlotte Faure), during the Miss Côte d’Azur election.
The connection between Eva and Valeria is obvious. The two Misses from the PACA region support each other. “I am fortunate to have Valeria. She’s my partner. It will be our strength together.”
The Miss Provence election
Eva Navarro keeps very fond memories of her election. “I had an exceptional promotion, one of the most beautiful. I was with candidates as beautiful as they were intelligent, with whom I am still in contact. The atmosphere was extraordinary.” She hopes it will be the same for Miss France.
Her qualities
She is mostly authentic and very simple, which can highlight her in the competition, beyond her beauty. She doesn’t see herself as superior to others. “I think we all have this little thing that makes us special.”
Don’t forget to support her, and watch TF1 on the evening of December 11th. Nice Premium wishes her safe travels and to make the most of her experience. Who knows, maybe the PACA region will finally win the coveted title?
