The G20 โ€œYoung Entrepreneur Summitโ€ will bring together 400 entrepreneurs under the age of 45 from the 20 G20 countries at EDHEC in Nice starting October 31. This summit will conclude on November 2 with a conference led by international figures.

g20-2.jpg Members of UPE 06 have mobilized to enable this unique event in France, organized every year on the sidelines of the G20, to be held in Nice.

In March 2011, Jacques Mariacci and Anis Nassif, already involved in the association “Les Journรฉes l’Entrepreneur,” organizers of G20 YES, were chosen as local liaisons and were able to guide organizers in the final choice of the city of Nice as the venue for this event.

They were then joined in a working group by Jacques Gros, Anne Lechaczynski, and Laurent Londeix, other members of UPE 06, to encourage applications from local entrepreneurs in view of forming the French delegation.

The Selection Committee for the 20 selected French entrepreneurs met in Paris on April 29. It was composed of 16 members from the economic world, including Jacques Mariacci, who, as a representative of UPE 06, was the only jury “representing the Regions” present.

Two entrepreneurs from the southeast will participate in the French delegation, which is composed of 20 people:

โ€ข Jean-Yves Courtois, from Orolia,
โ€ข Pierre Cuilleret, from Micromania.

This incredible initiative will give rise to the “The Nice Cรดte d’Azur 2011 Entrepreneurship Barometer by Ernst & Young,” a barometer of confidence among entrepreneurs from the G20 countries, which will lead to a series of recommendations to be addressed to the participants of the G20 in Cannes, which will follow on November 3 and 4.
