From October 11 to November 2, the City of Nice is organizing conferences and debates as part of the Mental Health Information Weeks (SISM), centered around this year’s national theme: โfor my mental health, letโs respect my rights!โ.
Among the planned events, a plenary assembly of the local mental health council of Nice is organized this afternoon, Monday, October 11, at 2 p.m. at Parc Phoenix. Discussions will particularly focus on access to culture and leisure activities as well as access to housing for people suffering from mental disorders.
A film-debate on the movie *The Forest of My Father* will take place on October 19 at the student house, as well as a performance-debate around the play *A Water Lily in My Bathtub* on November 2 at the Francis Gag Theater.
The Mental Health Information Weeks aim to raise awareness and inform the public about considering individuals affected by mental illnesses, as well as the measures to be implemented to support and accompany them.
The Local Mental Health Council of the City of Nice also establishes a local policy and conducts actions to improve mental health and care for those affected.
