On April 20 and 21, 1991, the first “Côte d’Azur Championship of Arabian Thoroughbreds” was born in Menton. That was 20 years ago!…
Following the success of this event, repeated in 1992, the organizers obtained the agreement to host the European Championship, which took place on August 28 & 29, 1993.
Breeders were completely charmed by the city of Menton and became so passionate about the event that the organizers extended its reach beyond the Mediterranean, and the show took the prestigious name of “Mediterranean and Arab Countries Arabian Thoroughbred Championship”.
“Twenty years later…”
The most beautiful Arabian thoroughbred specimens will once again come from all corners of the world to participate in the Menton Show: Argentina, Brazil, USA, Australia, Gulf countries, United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Northern Europe, Southern Europe, not to mention France…
They all come to try to conquer the highly coveted titles of Champions of the Mediterranean and Arab Countries!
Many of them have received the most coveted titles of US Champion, Brazilian Champion, Champion in the Gulf countries, European Champions, and even for some, the supreme title of World Champion!
Numerous personalities are expected, and the whole elite of the Arabian horse world will be present in Menton.
The horses will be judged on very specific criteria, type, model, and gaits by an international jury from Italy, Germany, Egypt, Poland, Spain, and Tunisia.
In Menton, for each Championship—fillies, colts, mares, stallions—and like in all sports, 3 medals are awarded by the Jury: Gold Medal, Silver Medal, and Bronze Medal, and all winners will receive numerous trophies.
From Friday afternoon, visitors will be able to come to the site to admire the horses in their boxes, meet the breeders, refresh themselves, and enjoy food!
