The Lavoir Theater of Menton offers two performances on Saturday, May 14 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, May 15 at 3:30 PM, of “My Little Mermaid,” a musical tale for young audiences.
Synopsis:
In our marine depths, My Little Mermaid, the sixth daughter of the king of the seas, sings her dream with her lovely voice: to join the world of men! “On the day of your fifteenth birthday!” promises Mamaï, her grandmother. My Little Mermaid realizes her dream and much more: she saves her (charming?) Prince during a fierce storm.
But a young Princess appears. My Little Mermaid must slip away. Upon awakening, the prince sees her and thinks it was she who saved him. In love, My Little Mermaid decides to visit the sea witch who promises her legs in exchange for her voice…
An adaptation by three fellow travelers of the story “The Little Mermaid,” an essential tale based on Hans Christian Andersen.
This show is the first creation for young audiences by the company “A Little Voice Told Me.”
