The main objective: to enable the territory to benefit from maximum European funds through an innovative, effective, and recognized European strategy at all levels, regional, national, and European.

With this goal in mind, we invite you to the launch of a bi-monthly event entitled “Les Jeudi de l’Europe”, whose first edition tomorrow will focus on: The presentation of the Métropole’s positioning in Europe and the Mediterranean.

It will take place in the presence of the 24 members of the Métropole’s European and Euro-Mediterranean Affairs Commission, the Mayors of the member municipalities of the Métropole, members of the Club Europe Azur, and other local personalities.

These meetings aim to create a place for debate around European institutions and policies, and to present the progress of European programs and projects implemented in our territory.

This occasion will also serve to announce the launch of a newsletter “From Europe to the Métropole,” as well as the holding of the EUROCITIES Network Environment Forum on the Métropole’s territory.

Finally, Christian Estrosi will sign the letter to be sent to the Prime Minister to ensure that the Métropole secures a prominent position in the prospective 2014-2020 structural funds policy.
