After the storm, which resulted in historic records of rainfall over the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, the Metropolis services are still hard at work to best support the populations affected by these weather events.
The first priority, while many villages remain inaccessible by road today, is to ensure the delivery of food supplies, essential goods, and emergency equipment identified as necessary.
To best coordinate this distribution, the Metropolitan services, in collaboration with the most affected municipalities, have conducted a needs assessment.
Many people have expressed the desire to help those affected.
To address the urgency, the metropolis services specify that the needs are primarily material:
In this regard, all those wishing to participate in this solidarity effort are invited to drop off donations at the Palais Nikaia in Nice – 163 Boulevard du Mercantour – from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM, every day starting today for in-kind donations and check donations and from tomorrow for cash donations.
From this center, the Metropolis services organize sorting and redistribution to the affected municipalities.
Regarding the Emergency Fund for the benefit of the populations of the affected municipalities, cash donations can be made via the website nicecotedazur.org or directly at the Palais Nikaia. For any questions, a phone number is available: 04 97 13 29 99
