On the occasion of the 23rd Press and Media Week in Schools, Mr. Eric Ciotti, President of the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes, honored us with his presence to follow the proceedings of a morning dedicated to the Issa Lympia editorial team and the filming of the College’s JTL. We interviewed him:
Mathilde Seyrat: “What are the reasons for your visit to our College?”
Eric Ciotti: "The educational reasons that prompted me to visit your college today are your very relevant initiatives, the creation of a television news program; and of course this day focusing on the press and media."
Lisa Lejamtel: "What do you think of the cooperation between the SEGPA classes and those in their third year?"
Eric Ciotti: "It is extremely important to promote this contact, this cooperation, because it helps and encourages students in difficulty to integrate into the school system."
Mathilde Seyrat: "What is your role within the General Council?"
Eric Ciotti: "I have a role that involves multiple skills, both in the educational and social frameworks: elderly, disabled people... and in the territorial framework. We also work to protect children and people in great difficulties. In conclusion, we do everything possible for human solidarity to develop."
We thank Mr. Eric Ciotti for taking the time to answer our questions. He emphasized the innovations present within our establishment. It is true that the opportunity to participate in a Journal like Issa Lympia may not come again in our schooling. Furthermore, no college in the Alpes-Maritimes produces a Television News. It is a specialty of Port Lympia, and we are proud to be able to participate in it.
This year, visually impaired students are involved in producing and presenting the JTL (“L” because this journal is online on the college’s website: https://www.ac-nice.fr/college-lympia)
