Minimum Reception Service in Nice

Latest News

In accordance with the law of August 20, 2008, the City Hall of Nice will implement the Minimum Service of Care (SMA) on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, for institutions where more than 25% of teachers will be on strike. This minimum service of care mainly concerns children enrolled in public schools in Nice. The childcare places are intended primarily for parents who work and have no alternative childcare for their children.

Thus, children from nursery and elementary schools can be welcomed, upon prior registration, in three municipal facilities (leisure centers, gymnasiums).

To better organize this day, parents are invited to register their children on Monday, October 10, 2011, from 10 AM to 8 PM by visiting the sites.

WARNING! No registration will be accepted by phone. Only registered children will be welcomed on October 11, 2011. Children will be received between 8:30 AM and 9 AM; beyond this time, they will not be accepted.

Regularly enrolled children during the school year in after-school care or supervised study can be taken care of until 6:30 PM only at the Immaculate Eugénie and Vallon des Fleurs Centers.

Addresses of facilities open under the Minimum Service of Care

  • For children in the last year of nursery school (born in 2006) up to CM2 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM: Salle Leyrit – rue Fornero Ménéï and Thérèse Roméo Sports Hall – 32 bis, rue Clément Roassal
  • For siblings (nursery and elementary) and allergic children with a valid dietary regimen agreement, from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM: Immaculate Eugénie Center – 31 boulevard Immaculate Eugénie

  • For children enrolled in nursery small, medium, and large sections from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM: Vallon des Fleurs Center: avenue St Exupéry

PS: Meals (which remain the responsibility of the parents) are provided by the city of Nice’s school catering service. Under no circumstances should children bring a packed lunch.
