The Minister in charge of Housing, Valérie Létard, will participate in the 2025 MIPIM in Cannes tomorrow to present French initiatives in housing. This trade show will bring together industry stakeholders to discuss real estate challenges, including the housing crisis in Europe.
Valérie Létard, Minister in charge of Housing, will attend the International Market for Real Estate Professionals (MIPIM) on March 11 and 12, 2025. The event, held at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes, gathers influential players from the global real estate sector. The Minister will present French initiatives in support of construction and the development of the housing market.
MIPIM is a key event for investors, developers, and property managers. The 2025 edition, taking place from March 10 to 14, will cover various themes, including the conversion of existing buildings, geopolitical tensions, and the housing crisis.
During the pre-opening day, the mayors of London and Hanover will address the difficulties of housing access. In Europe, housing prices increased by 48% between 2015 and 2023. In some countries, such as Portugal, they have more than doubled. Today, one in ten urban Europeans spends more than 40% of their income on housing.
In this context, Valérie Létard’s presence aims to promote the solutions implemented in France to support the construction recovery and adapt the supply to residents’ needs. Her presence at MIPIM will enable engagement with professionals and assert the government’s directions regarding housing and real estate.
