Wouldn’t it be possible to have a genuine intelligent debate on immigration without systematic political exploitation?
Everyone has their own agenda… in any case, the refrain is always the same.
Eric Ciotti, also known as Mr. Authority, hasn’t contradicted himself and, during a visit to the France-Italy border, launched a new proposal: perform bone tests on migrants to verify that they are indeed minors before welcoming them into children’s homes.
The reason? Faced with the sharp increase in numbers, 168 since June compared to 174 for the entire year of 2014, the departmental home that accommodates 190 minors is saturated.
So what to do? Eric Ciotti calls upon the State’s sovereign responsibility and requests a “fair distribution” of the arrivals in other departments.
It is the same solution for migrants that the EU had recommended to distribute between 40,000 and 60,000 African immigrants among various European countries and who, according to Eric Ciotti and many others, should be sent back to their country of origin and, above all, should not transit from the Ventimiglia border into France.
His statements did not go unanswered…

“While he, as president of the departmental council, has the responsibility for wandering minors, especially very young migrants, Eric Ciotti once again made a media splash by demanding bone tests for foreign minors, thereby turning children and adolescents in great distress into potential suspects.
This exploitation of misery and childhood for political purposes is lamentable.”
