Mission Locale Jeunes: A 2013 Report Full of Satisfaction and Promising Prospects for 2014

Latest News

On the occasion of presenting the 2014 wishes to partners and guests, Dominique Estrosi-Sassone (who has presided over the agency since 2008) expressed her complete satisfaction with the activities of the past year.

With Haidadi Sabah by her side, Madame Estrosi-Sassone wanted to highlight the effectiveness of the actions of the Nice Mission. “In a difficult context, we managed to move forward and stay on course. There is still room for improvement in our work, but I want to thank all our collaborators for their dedication and their ability to provide responses tailored to the needs of young people seeking assistance.”

Indeed, the figures are there to confirm the words of the President, for whom “our added value is represented in our holistic approach. Our goal is for young people to find stable employment and to avoid failures, the repercussions of which are detrimental from every point of view.”

Let’s look at the figures:

The Local Mission welcomed 9,619 young people in 2013, which is 3.4% more than in 2012.

In terms of professional integration, 1,981 entries into training were recorded, while 2,667 young people found employment. This represents an employment rate for young people of 28% (almost identical to the 30% rate in 2012).

The directions for 2014 remain on the same path: aligning the skills of young people with the needs of businesses to enhance employability.
