Since March 11th, Japan has been experiencing the largest disaster the country has ever known. Yaneka, who were in Sweden preparing their fourth album, decided to set aside their plans to create Music for Japan and organize numerous charity concerts in Europe for the benefit of the Japanese Red Cross.
Both fraternal and musical, the Japanese duo Yaneka was formed in February 2005 by Chiyako and her brother Yuichiro. Together, they developed a musical style they named Japanese Bohemian Rock, a fusion of sounds from traditional world music and influences drawn from current Western music.
Besides Japan, Yaneka has been pursuing a European musical career in France, England, Sweden, and Belgium.
