On Monday, November 21st, at 8 PM at the Théâtre des Variétés
To mark the 25th anniversary of its creation, the Monaco Association for the Knowledge of the Arts is organizing a stunning concert, an exceptional artistic event.
The first part of the evening will be dedicated to the performance of works by Sergei PROKOFIEV (1891 – 1953)
- 6 Visions Fugitives – Prelude No. 7 – Romeo and Juliet
Igor STRAVINSKY (1882 – 1971)
- Petrushka
In the second part, there will be an encounter between the virtuoso pianist, Mikhail RUDY, and the pictorial works of the painter Wassily KANDINSKY, which will be projected in rhythm with “Pictures at an Exhibition” by Modest MUSSORGSKY (1839-1881).
As a prelude, Mikhail RUDY will explain to the audience for the first time the origin of this totally innovative creation, developed in collaboration with visual artists from the Centre Georges POMPIDOU
and musicologists from the Cité de la Musique in Paris.
The DVD sold at the end of this concert will be projected the very next day, during the inauguration of the great KANDINSKY retrospective at the Centre Georges POMPIDOU.
