Monaco: Meeting with Karine Lambert and Pierre-François Astor

Latest News

On April 8th, the Fnac Forum offers a discussion on the theme: “To End the Battle of the Sexes.” Are Men and Women Still at an Impasse?

Authors Karine Lambert and Pierre-François Astor will talk about their book “To End the Battle of the Sexes,” which raises essential questions about male-female relationships:
Why do we face a daily ineffective confrontation between sexes and genders? Why, despite undeniable legal and political advancements by successive governments, societal awareness, and the proliferation of popular discourse, do we feel that we can never rid ourselves of the rigidities, conflicts, or archaic norms governing male-female relationships?

Trying something different! Living a fruitful otherness? Fred and Camille, the modern protagonists of this book, play freely with sex conventions and identities. They are ambiguous, man or woman, sometimes both. They investigate in various social settings (business, university, family, couple, politics…), explore the inhospitable terrains of gender belonging, uncover spaces of conflict by traversing commonplaces, and experiment with the blending of genders. Their ambition? To offer the pleasure of a free, constructive, and de-dramatized debate.
