Monaco-Mont Ventoux Challenge: a cycling race for the benefit of sick children.

Latest News

With an incredible view over the port of Monaco, the legendary brasserie Stars & Bar is hosting around thirty amateur runners this Thursday evening for a briefing before the start of a race. For this 5th edition of the Challenge, the pack will travel from Monaco to the summit of Ventoux, passing through the Gorges du Verdon and Provence.

The association WTS, founded by Jean-Baptiste Wiroth, organizes sporting events for business leaders or senior executives, notably in cycling, running, and swimming. With a total distance of 385 kilometers divided into three stages over three days, the runners are assisted by mechanics, refreshment providers, and even masseurs.

Beyond the desire to create connections among participants, the unique feature of the Monaco-Mont Ventoux Challenge, and not the least of them, is the event’s partnership with the association Le Point Rose, which aids children in pediatric palliative care. For each kilometer covered by a runner, 1 euro will be donated to the association.

Even though, according to the organizer, “the event is not a competition,” the Monaco-Mont Ventoux Challenge is a challenge for the participants, who are primarily amateurs. The start is set for this Thursday, at the port of the principality.
