Only a few days remain until the world premiere of “MUSIC BOX installation: a tribute 2 love” created by the painter Fiona Tan with the participation of the author and musician Sasha SIEM, which will be presented during the gala dinner scheduled for May 3, preceded by a debate* highlighting the importance of new technologies used in the arts.
Among the guests, besides the Monegasque Sovereign, SAS Prince Albert II of Monaco, Honorary President of the FUTURUM Association, and the two young artists, will be present Professor Silvia Burini from the University Ca’ Foscari in Venice, Professor Roberto Cingolani from the Istituto Tecnologico Italiano in Genoa, and the composer and professor from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Tod Machover, author of the work “Death and the Powers” which was a finalist last year for the Pulitzer Prize for Music.
The idea of promoting works by young artists who use new technologies to express their own creativity was born from the founder of the FUTURUM association, Madame Kawther Al Abood, who on this occasion declared:
“After the success of the work ‘Death and the Powers’, presented in preview in Monaco in September 2010 thanks to the support provided by our association, we have now decided to launch two artists, a painter and a musician, who together have given life to a unique installation of its kind. Our intention in the future is to be an international reference for these young talents, who, with art interpreted through the use of new technologies, will succeed in contributing with their creations in launching messages of beauty and universal harmony, besides promoting practical applications in everyday life.”
But no more than 150 guests will be able to attend the evening during which, after the presentation of the “Awards” to the present artists, a new project promoted by the FUTURUM association will be launched: a scholarship intended for young talents so that they can express their creations through the use of new technologies also applied in various disciplines.
