From November 21 to 24, in the magical venue of the Salle Garnier at the Monte-Carlo Opera, the great representatives of various jazz movements will once again gather for the Monte-Carlo Jazz Festival. The prestigious guests of this 7th edition will bring eclectic tones, rhythms, and melodies to the event, touching on soul, rock, and world music for a borderless overview.
American singer China Moses, now based in Paris, will open the festivities on Wednesday, November 21, as the opening act for Neapolitan guitarist Pino Daniele. This Italian performer works at the crossroads of traditional music, rumba, blues, and jazz with a world music influence.
Chick Corea Trio and his companions Christian McBride and Brian Blade will stop in Monaco on Thursday, November 22, for a set navigating between jazz and jazz rock in a powerful piano-bass-drums formation. They will follow Manu Katchรฉ’s rhythms, who will present pieces from his new album.
On Friday, the 23rd, the Salle Garnier will be enchanted by the elegant Diana Krall.
Saturday the 24th will close this program beautifully, with Ibrahim Maalouf, a trumpet prodigy now at the forefront, and legendary bassist Marcus Miller, a true jazz fusion star comfortable in all registers.
