For nearly two years, the municipality of Montgenèvre has set itself the goal of bolstering its cultural policy through the organization of popular and unifying “flagship” events.

In the spirit of the audacious festival Jazz aux Frontières, created in 2010, Montgenèvre and its bodies are working on an increasingly eclectic event programming focused on musical culture.

Thus, from August 12 to 14, Montgenèvre will offer its summer visitors a brand-new festival: the first edition of the Alp’y Latino festival, promising a “caliente” atmosphere!

A few days filled with meetings of dance and Latin music to become familiar with the undulating rhythms and passionate sounds of South America. On this occasion, Montgenèvre will transform into a true southern capital to warmly welcome concerts, artist demonstrations, and dance initiations (Argentine tango, Cuban salsa, Porto salsa), eagerly anticipated by the aficionados.

To ensure the success of this unprecedented event – the first of its kind organized in the Hautes-Alpes – the organization of the Alp’y Latino festival relied on the experience and dynamism of the association K’danse.

Thus, the team called on renowned artists: Mike Nagam, Isaae Bationon, Gilbert & Nadine Raphaëlli from the Bachatango Massilia school, Fred & Caty Romero, Elena & Thierry from the Elegua company, Stefano Guidice and Alessandra Rizzotti, among others… who will make dance rhyme with movement, body-to-body and sensuality.

Numerous visitors from all corners of the country are expected to attend this large-scale event. In fact, Montgenèvre is already preparing to experience a vibrant festival, where effervescence and conviviality will be present.

A lineup of artists with undeniable talent:

This blend of cultures is part of the same way of living life and music: with a spontaneous rhythm, with an absolute spirit of freedom and a boundless energy that touches the heart of the spectators.
