This year, more than 3,000 middle and high school students from public and private institutions in the Alpes-Maritimes will meet at the Cagnes-sur-Mer racetrack this Wednesday, November 12.
Historically close to associations, Crédit Mutuel Méditerranéen of the Nice Côte d’Azur Corsica district has decided – for the fourth consecutive year – to support the departmental cross-country race of the National Union of School Sports (UNSS) in the Alpes-Maritimes.
Organized for over 30 years, this traditional sporting event is expected to host once again this year: 3,000 young people supervised by 250 of the 550 Physical Education and Sports (EPS) teachers from the Alpes-Maritimes, not to mention more than 500 parents, attentive to their children’s efforts.
The regional director of the National Union of School Sports (UNSS) in charge of the Alpes-Maritimes department, Manuel Dureuil, is pleased with the success of this sports day during which these young people will compete in races over distances ranging from 2,200 to 4,100 meters.
Crédit Mutuel Méditerranéen, notably represented by coordinator-presidents Pierre Otto-Bruc (La Trinité) and Jean-François Parra (Mandelieu), will present each participant with a Crédit Mutuel bag containing a small snack, and the 18 best middle school runners (9 girls and 9 boys) and the best high school students (9 girls and 9 boys) with mobile phones with contactless payment and MP3 players.
