“Mosaics rhyme with music at the Nice University Hospital”

Latest News

Mosaic decorations created from two works by Albert Chubac, by elderly individuals assisted by a second-grade class from Pierre Merle school, will be displayed. This initiative honors the University Hospital which brings together all generations.

To meet the expectations of patients, families, and staff, the University Hospital initiated, in 2002, an approach to integrating art and culture in the hospital environment.

With this goal, the management of Cimiez Hospital is developing cultural initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for patients and residents as well as the work environment for staff.

The elderly are recognized in their capacity as living beings up to the very limits of life, finding pleasure, communicating, developing projects, and opening up to those around them.

This June 15 will also be an opportunity to exhibit mosaic works by Noëlle Merli, Michel Pays, and Gilberte Ghiradini-Porcu, volunteers from the pArtAges association who discovered this artistic expression through the intergenerational workshop.

The event will be extended with a concert “Around Astor Piazzolla” performed by students from the Music Academy of Monaco, Prince Rainier III Foundation, supervised by Brigitte Clarys, Professor of Musical Education.
