Moto GP: Fabio Quartararo determined to reclaim his title

Latest News

The Nice native and reigning vice-world champion will kick off his MotoGP season this weekend in Portugal

Although he lost his title to the Italian Francesco Bagnaia, Fabio Quartararo is already establishing himself as one of the favorites to win the 2023 World Championship. Even though he confessed that he and his team (Yamaha Factory Racing) are not yet at their best, the 23-year-old rider seems confident for this new season: “We have made progress. Maybe it’s not enough yet, but it’s good.”

When asked to give his prediction on the identity of the 2023 world champion, he acknowledged that the Italian crowned last season was “above all other Ducati riders.” Nonetheless, he still designated himself as the future winner, which will undoubtedly require a strong start this Sunday in Portimao.

Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice and former motorcycle champion, expressed his support for El Diablo on Twitter: “A new MotoGP season starts with the Portugal GP, and the possibility for our Nice world champion to regain the world title. Go Fabio, all of Nice is behind you!”
