The two-wheeled circus kicks off again this Sunday in Spain with the first of the 21 Grands Prix of the 2022 season.

The Frenchman Fabio Quartararo is set to defend his title, the first of a likely long list for this talented young rider.

The reigning world champion will start from far back on the grid in Sundayโ€™s first GP of the year. Struggling with his Yamaha bike, which is much less powerful than his usual competitors, the Nice native did not find reassurance in Qatar, at the Losail circuit, with the eleventh fastest qualifying time.

Johann Zarco also faltered and finished 13th in the qualifiers.

In the first GP of the season, the French riders will have to fight with the resources they currently have and hope to earn some valuable points for the rest of the 2022 championship.

The pole position goes to the prodigy Jorge Martin (Pramac Racing) ahead of Enea Bastianini (Gresini Racing) and the discipline star Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda).
