Fabio Quartararo is on the verge of clinching his first world title. Ideally, on the Misano circuit, there could be a handing over of the torch between the multi-titled veteran champion Valentino Rossi, who will be racing for the last time on his favorite circuit, and his young successor.
Quartararo has three opportunities against his only rival in the standings, Francesco Bagnaia, and this Sunday, he can play the first one.
But “Pecco” Bagnaia has not given up and, as an indomitable fighter, he wants to seize his chances until the very end. He will start from pole position while Fabio will be in 15th position.
The Italian’s teammate, Jack Miller, and rookie Luca Marini (Valentino’s half-brother) will also be on the front row of the starting grid.
Behind them, Pol Espargaro, Miguel Oliveira, and Franco Morbidelli will launch from the second row,
