Unchallenged at Silverstone, Fabio Quartararo claims victory and surpasses the 50-point lead in the championship, edging ever closer to the world title.
Alex Rins finishes second, while Aleix Espargaro, in third, gives Aprilia its first podium in MotoGP.
Fabio Quartararo’s race conduct is authoritative: at the start, he let the predatory instincts of the other competitors slip by, taking the lead of the race after 5 laps and making the difference with that unbeatable pace he had clearly demonstrated throughout the weekend.
Behind him, Alex Rins, finally a protagonist with a Suzuki that re-emerged, as in the past, during the race. Aleix Espargaro’s resistance against Miller in the last lap was truly remarkable to secure his splendid third place.
Fifth place for Pol Espargaro, who started on pole, partially salvaged the day for Honda, penalized by another crash from Marc Marquez.
