Mouans-Sartoux: Cinemabrut celebrates its 10th anniversary

Latest News

In 2015, Cinemabrut is organizing the 10th edition of the Mouans-Sartoux Self-Produced Film Festival. 10 years is yet another opportunity to celebrate, and why not, to take a fresh start!

The Cinemabrut Festival comprises 4 days of films, concerts, exhibitions, and parties in 2 exceptional venues: screenings alternate between La Strada Cinemas (in the city center) in the afternoon and the sumptuous park of the castle in the evening.

Starting at 6 PM, the 3 weekend evenings kick off with an eclectic and vibrant music lineup. Projections then follow as night falls.

Films will be grouped into thematic sessions in the cinema during the afternoons, allowing the audience who can’t see everything to choose their preferences.

A jury composed of professionals and amateurs will award 4 prizes: the Brutal dโ€™Or for feature films, the Brutal dโ€™Or for short films, the Brutal dโ€™Argent, and the Brutal de Bronze (the latter two without duration limits).

An audience award will also be presented based on the spectators’ votes.

In parallel with the competition, carte blanche will be given to personalities or collectives advocating for self-produced cinema.

Exceptionally for this edition, a retrospective of the winning films from all previous years will be held alongside the afternoon screenings.

A Video Art performance will be held throughout the festival.
