The Valberg mountain bike track was the venue for the French Elite, Junior, and Cadet championships, for both men and women.

Perfectly organized by the Departmental Cycling Committee under the leadership of its president Jean-Luc Petit, and in the presence of Federal President Michel Callot and CDOS 06 president Philippe Manassero, they enjoyed great success thanks to the quality of the competitions and the large public turnout that passionately followed the athletes’ exploits.

The awards ceremony was conducted by the President of the Departmental Council, Charles-Ange Ginรฉsy, accompanied by the Vice-President in charge of sports, Carine Caty.

In both major categories, the podium confirmed the defending champions.

In the men’s category, Benoรฎt Coulanges retained his title, finishing in 2’51”21, which is 36 hundredths better than Antoine Vidal from Frรฉjus and 66 hundredths ahead of Loรฏc Bruni, who finished third and had aimed to win on “his” track.

The other two competitors from Cagnes-sur-Mer vying for the title, Loris Vergier and Thibaut Daprรฉla, finished 4th and 5th, respectively.

Despite this minor disappointment, the value of the Cagnes-sur-Mer school was reaffirmed.

In the women’s category, Myriam Nicole easily retained her title.
