Professor Sergio Panattoni, the cultural attaché at the Consulate General of Italy, passed away at the age of 62 after a brief illness.
He was a valued partner of the major cultural and educational institutions in Nice, Marseille, and also in Corsica.
His passing caused a strong emotion within the Italian community and the Franco-Italian academic community.
