1. A Haunting in Venice by Kenneth Branagh

After Murder on the Nile and Murder on the Orient Express, Kenneth Branagh resurrects the illustrious Agatha Christie once again. This time, the story takes place in Venice where the great Hercule Poirot now resides in retirement. When an old friend, Ariadne Oliver, invites him to participate in a séance, they both find themselves plunged into the heart of a crime scene. Quickly, everyone present is considered a suspect. Hercule Poirot therefore dons the cap of the fine detective he is once again…

2. The Book of Solutions by Michel Gondry

Find Blanche Gardin and Pierre Niney in this eccentric comedy by director Michel Gondry. Marc, a budding director, escapes to a small village in the Cévennes to complete his film. Once there, he finds himself overwhelmed by endless creativity. He must channel it. It is then that he starts writing “The Book of Solutions”. This book seems to be an innovative answer to all his problems. But is it really?

3. A Serious Job by Thomas Liti

Benjamin (Vincent Lacoste) is the new math teacher. He joins a team of committed and supportive teachers who will accompany him in practicing this “serious job.” Quickly, this inexperienced new teacher faces the challenges of the profession. Meriem (Adèle Exarchopoulos) and Pierre (François Cluzet) display an unlimited passion for teaching within an institution that is however weakened.

4. Last Summer by Catherine Breillat

This French drama reinvents the myth of Phaedra on the big screen. Théo is the son from a first marriage, he is 17 years old. He is handsome and charming. When he moves back in with the new family, his stepmother Anne finds herself troubled by this handsome youth. Théo quickly announces to his father that he had an affair with Anne. She vehemently denies it. Family ties thus become particularly strained…
