The center, founded in 1991 by Richard Chemla, an anesthesiologist and resuscitation specialist, aims to facilitate and develop all teaching, research, and approaches related to our natural environment. Today, the CDMM is the leading environmental education center in the SUD Region, particularly due to its activities and work that have been successful for nearly 30 years.

That is why Christian Estrosi asked its Founding President, Richard Chemla, to share his recommendations on the main environmental challenges for Nice. This report will aim to identify the various actions to be taken in the coming years to better face the consequences of climate change.

Since 2008, Christian Estrosi has made ecology a priority to make Nice the green city of the Mediterranean.

This visit was an opportunity to commit to obtaining from the State a marine reserve on the Bay of Angels, which has been requested for several months, extending up to 300 meters over an area of about twenty hectares to protect and enhance the present biodiversity.
