Latest News

This Saturday, December 14, at 7:30 PM in the meeting room of the Planet gymnasium, a meeting aimed at young people will be organized by candidate Charles Scibetta. He wishes to meet the young people of Carros to better understand their concerns and expectations in various areas of their lives, in order to enrich his municipal project. Topics that may be discussed include their interests (leisure, festivals, concerts, culture, sports, cinema…) but also those related to their studies, employment, transportation, or security… The evening will extend until 10:30 PM with a buffet and DJ animation.

Charles Scibetta: As you know, I am a professor in BTS communication, I interact with my students every day, I know their concerns, the difficulties they face, their hopes, and their disillusionments. It’s important that we take into account the concerns of young people as it is a duty. In Carros, I have given them the place they deserve both in terms of my list and the program. Youth are at the heart of my project.

NP: For this purpose, are you organizing a meeting followed by a festive moment this Saturday in Carros?

CS: Yes, I wanted to meet them to complete and enrich our program. I have invited them to a youth evening on Saturday, December 14, at 7:30 PM in the meeting room of the Gymnasium in Carros city. It will be an opportunity to exchange on their needs and expectations and to end the evening around a buffet and DJ animation. Some young people will also be able to perform and showcase a sample of their talent.

NP: Considering you’re in contact with young people professionally all year, how do you explain their lack of interest in politics and elections?

CS: Young people reject politics because they do not identify with politicians and even less with political parties. They feel that no one is interested in them, that no one truly considers their concerns. Moreover, they know that after their studies, they risk ending up at the employment office. How can you expect them to trust politicians whose actions lead them to such an unappealing future?

NP: What would you say to a young person who is not yet registered on the electoral lists?

CS: I would tell them that they need to take their destiny into their own hands. They need to act so their point of view matters. They must register on the electoral lists and express themselves through their vote. If they don’t, others will express themselves for them. They will undergo the choice of others instead of asserting their own.

NP: In a more general context, how is your campaign going and what are your upcoming actions?

CS: We are finalizing the work of meeting with the population to build our municipal project by listening to the concerns of the inhabitants of our commune. We have almost completed the establishment of the list. We still need to present it to the voters. We will do it during a large public meeting on Friday, January 17, at 6:30 PM in the Ecovie room. During this meeting, I will present the main lines of our project as well as my closest collaborators, including my future first deputy.
