Five days before the first round, the candidates are busy making themselves heard and tipping the balance in their favor. A new stop in Robert Injey’s tour of Nice for inaugurations, the Left Front candidate for the Municipal elections, is the Nice Riquier train station.

The aim of highlighting this important point of passage in the program of the Left Front candidate is to defend its existence and improve accessibility conditions to the platforms.

Jacques Victor, general councilor for Riquier-Saint-Roch, spoke, recalling his fight to keep the station after the implementation of Tram Line 1. He expressed his regret that the tram does not pass in front of the station, which would promote multimodality.

He emphasized that currently, people with reduced mobility cannot access the platforms due to the state of disrepair of the premises. This remains quite an incredible issue, especially knowing that Nice-Riquier is the second busiest station in the city. “The region and the city are involved in the station’s rehabilitation but are only doing superficial work.”

It is under these conditions that Robert Injey and Jacques Victor proceeded with their 9th inauguration of the project “10 inaugurations for 10 immediate projects” with the opening of a rehabilitated Riquier station. They explain that this project is a priority and that this rehabilitation will be one of their first actions once elected.

The next important meeting for Robert Injey and the Left Front will be the rally taking place on Thursday, March 20, at 6 pm in the Black Box room of the CAL Bon Voyage (2 Pont Renรฉ Coty).
