In the lead-up to the upcoming municipal elections in March 2014, the Nice Cรดte dโAzur Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Union for Enterprises of the Alpes-Maritimes are launching the “Eco Pact 2014,” which aims to engage the Azur region candidates on five economic issues affecting businesses, shops, and workers in the region.
For Bernard Kleynhoff, President of the Nice Cรดte dโAzur CCI: “The objective is to bring the needs and expectations of businesses to the forefront of debates. This Eco Pact 2014 will allow for more in-depth formalization with a very pragmatic approach.”
For the Cรดte dโAzur to continue to sustainably develop its economy, it must engage in a concerted development plan that listens to businesses and their expectations. In this context, a survey was conducted among Azur region businesses in November 2013, identifying the priorities they emphasize in terms of economic development.
Five main themes have been defined: Local tax reduction, Employment development, Transport and mobility, Business reception and development, and Housing for workers.
Here is the text that will be sent to all candidates:
*As a candidate, we invite you to respond to the 27 questions of the Economic Pact 06, a pact in which the Nice Cรดte d’Azur CCI commits to standing by your side to support and accompany your actions in favor of economic development.*
An initial challenge that the Nice and Azur region candidates will have to seriously “work on” with less than 70 days before the first round!
